Ok so the only way to reset the adblue is to take it to a mechanic or the dealer to have it reset to 0. It's the only way it can be done. I have encountered this issue many times with audi vw mercedes diesel vehicles. It's a normal procedure.

Well it shouldn't do it's a proper bottle whichI don't know if anyone can help here. I have a UK Spec 262PS 2015 R Line Touareg. Yesterday the AD Blue warning light came on. I bought 10 litres of AD Blue filled the tank and followed the reset procedure (ignition on for 30secs before restarting (I actually left ignition on for about 3 minutes!). After recycling ignition the light came on again.
I've just a week ago repaired couple years older vw with faulty AdBlue injector. After replacing faulty injector and clearing codes red SCR warning light still on and starter not actuates. Reset SCR lock gives additional 25 starting times and/or 50km mileage.
Need help to reset adblue warning 2013 Passat. Today the warning to refill the adblue tank popped up. I put 2.5 gal into the tank and tried to get the warning to go away. I tried turning on the car but not the engine and putting the gas pedal to the floor to have the glow plug light pop up but it never did show. Hi, I have had the same problem and issues with my 2020 Cali. Coast. The VW garage (as always) thought I was doing something wrong. To cut a long story short. In contrast to what the manual states. I have to 'over fill' the tank, to the point where the AdBlue is actually spilling out from the filler. Only then does the sensor go out. Hope thisThe Tech then reset the Add blue sensor = no change, second try = no change, third try the sensor registered an increase of 1000 miles. (Total range 4000 miles) on the drive home the sensor obviously recalibrated/ measure the tank again, which increased the range by a further 1500 miles, so I can confirm what @Loz says. The local VW dealer wanted to drop the Adblue tank and remove the level sensor, pump, etc. rather than just getting the dealers to do a reset each time it happens. so the warning light 5. Cycle ignition switch βOFFβ and then βONβ, verify AdBlue tank warning has turned off . Confirm latest software is installed in the ECM. If light still will not reset after performing procedure above, perform the following: 1. Remove fuse S14 (located in ECM cowling). 2. 2. When the AdBlue warning light lights up on the Volkswagen Tiguan display, it means that the additional fluid level in the special tank is insufficient. To make the warning light go out, it will therefore be necessary to top up AdBlue: the liquid must be poured into the duct accessible from the luggage compartment. Hello, Warning light came on indicating to "add Ad Blue Engine will will not start in 1000 kms". I filled it up full yesterday and indicator went off. This afternoon on the way home from work the indicator came back on. I confirmed the ad blue is full. Do I need to reset this using my HEX
